On March 3, an alleged conversation by the Attorney General of Mexico, Alejandro Gertz Manero, was broadcast through a YouTube account, in which he allegedly talks about the legal process he is carrying out against his ex-sister-in-law and her daughter for the death of his brother Frederick.
A source from the Attorney General's Office, with knowledge of the case, told CNN that an investigation will be launched for alleged telephone espionage of the federal official.
So far CNN has not been able to verify the authenticity of the recording.
