Abstract.

On February 24, early in the morning, Vladimir Putin announced in a televised speech that Russia was going to carry out a “special military operation” on Ukrainian soil.

Several cities are waking up under the bombardments, such as Mariupol, in the east of the country.

It is in this city that Rodion Krotov grew up with his parents and his little sister, until 2014, when a conflict broke out in the region.

In 2015, to flee the war, Rodion and his family had to leave the country.

They take refuge in France, in Bourges, in the Cher.

When Rodion witnesses, seven years later, the invasion of Ukraine by Russian troops, he is overtaken by the war.

He wants to go and take up arms alongside the Ukrainian people but his father dissuades him.

He therefore decides to help the Ukrainians, as he can, from France.

Rodion Krotov tells his story at the microphone of Ambre Rosala.
