Legislative 2022: the Socialists hope to keep the size of their group in the National Assembly

To measure the situation, we must remember that ten years ago, at the end of the 2012 legislative elections, the socialist group had 297 deputies... 297 out of 577. Five years later, rolled down by the five-year term of François Hollande, Exploded like a puzzle by the Macronist wave, there were only 29 survivors, 28 today counting relatives.

Asked about the fear that the group will be reduced further by the departure of some, or the failure of others, linked to the painful campaign of Anne Hidalgo - candidate reduced to dreaming of 5% -, the deputies affirm that they are, with some exceptions, including a few substitutes, established and experienced enough to survive a new tsunami.
