(CNN Spanish) --

Being in Paris a few years ago with my

stylish

friend Odile, I remember feeling a subtle fragrance every time she moved her head and her long hair went from side to side.

Curiosity got the better of me and I commented: “Every time you move I feel a very pleasant smell of lavender…”.

“Oh, it's my hair perfume”, she answered me smiling.

“I make it myself by mixing lavender cologne with a little extract from my favorite perfume!

From a very young age my mother taught me that perfuming my hair was essential to be more attractive.

And so I have taught my daughter.

When someone comes up to you, or kisses you, it's very

cool

and sexy."

Undoubtedly, something positive, that lifts spirits –which is sorely lacking in the world in the midst of so many uncertain and sad things!– and it is interesting to explore it, since French women have special beauty secrets, as well as certain details when dressing and By behaving, they project a fascinating

allure

and mystery.

And, obviously, perfuming your hair is so important that they make special fragrances for it!

And how are they used?

Well, we should definitely use an atomizer or fine

spray

and apply it directly a few inches away, but never too much, because the idea is to be subtle, or spray the comb or hair brush and pass it through the hair.

It's a quick finishing touch after washing our hair, or before leaving the house.

And so it was that on a visit to Paris I checked out some of them in a large perfumery where an employee (in Europe they are real experts) showed me the classic and refreshing (and very cheap) Pinault Eau de Portugal hair tonic –plus L'Interdit de Givenchy hair mist;

Gabrielle Chanel's hair perfume, one of Chanel's brands – as is her Chance bruma

hair mist

and

Chanel #5

parfum cheveux .

Diptyque Eau Rose

hair mist

and

for her hair mist

by Narciso Rodríguez and J'Adore

brume cheveux

by Dior are also very popular.

And if you are one of those who adore the rare and “chocolate” fragrance of Angel by Thierry Mugler, there is an Angel Hair Spray!

There are endless options!

Check them out today and you will love them!

Interestingly, in addition to hair versions of perfumes from famous brands, there are very cheap scented hair oils and colognes like the ones you find at your local perfumery: Elvive L'Oreal Oil, Heno de Pravia Cologne, Sol de Oro, Kolonia 1800, not forgetting my favorites, the super popular and innocent baby colognes!

Bottom line: Perfuming your hair can replace your usual perfume or you can accentuate it by using the same brand of hair mist you always wear.

It is an option that imparts freshness to your image, because leaving a trail of perfume when walking or moving your head is an evocative and truly exquisite moment!
