A sharp confrontation at the cabinet meeting this morning (Sunday) after approval of the establishment of five new localities in the Negev.
Meretz ministers, headed by Minister Tamar Zandberg, expressed opposition to the decision.
On Friday, Zandberg called the move a cry for generations and claimed it harmed the environment and the Bedouin sector.
Those who initiated the move are Ministers Ayelet Shaked and Zeev Elkin.
The new chairman of Tikva, Gideon Saar, attacked Meretz ministers after questions erupted again and again: "It does not bother them illegal settlement - it does bother them Jewish settlement."

Zandberg immediately responded, "It's hard for me to spoil the celebration, but we just went crazy."
Saar replied shouting: "Do not disturb me. You have a hatred for settlement."
Minister Yoaz Handel joined the chairman of his party and told Zandberg: "You do not understand that there is no vacuum, where there is no agriculture and settlement, others perceive."
Nitzan Horowitz defended his party member: "Who are the others? They are Israeli citizens."
Handel replied: 'So what?
So is it allowed to illegally seize land?
Is there no law and order if you are an Israeli citizen? '

Zandberg: "This is a damage to the environment and the big cities, just settlements and luxury villas."
Elkin also entered the debate and said: "Meir Cohen, a former head of the Negev Authority, is sitting here, saying that he and his friends are in favor.
And do you know better than them? "
Zandberg: "Admissions committees should be abolished."
Ayelet Shaked added fire to the fire: "Ben-Gurion was very happy with such a decision."
