The spokesperson for the Russian Defense Ministry, Major General Igor Konashenkov, announced that during the past 24 hours, Russian warplanes destroyed 52 Ukrainian military installations, including the Buk-M1 anti-aircraft missile system and a radar station to target the S-300 system.
"During the night, 40 Ukrainian Nazis serving in the 57th Mechanized Infantry Battalion were eliminated and an artillery battery, 2 armored personnel carriers and 4 off-road vehicles were destroyed," Konashenkov said in a press briefing today.
In addition, 6 Ukrainian military targets were destroyed, including 5 depots of artillery rocket weapons and ammunition in the towns of Yugoslavsky, Kristichi, Reznikovi, Felix Novosilki and one depot for fuel and lubricants.
Konashenkov added that the anti-air defenses of the Russian Aerospace Forces shot down a Mi-8 helicopter in the air in the vicinity of the town of Lubimovka, and 8 marches in the towns and cities of Lyschansk, Donetsk, Chernigov, Korosun and Novomykhailovskoye, including a Bayraktar TB1 drone in the Vakhovka region.
He noted that tactical operational aviation also destroyed 10 mobilization sites of combat equipment and 16 fortified positions of the Ukrainian armed forces, while units of the Lugansk People's Republic continued their offensive and encircled the northern outskirts of the town of Kremennaya and the eastern outskirts of the town of Mytelkino.
Konashenkov stressed that since the start of the special military operation, 124 aircraft, 81 helicopters, 353 drones, 1,839 tanks and other armored vehicles, 202 rocket launchers, 773 field guns and mortars, as well as 1,711 special vehicles of the Ukrainian Armed Forces have been shot down.
