A car accident involving drug-driving occurred in San Po Kong.
At about 10 pm yesterday (April 1), a white Audi private car turned off Choi Hung Road from Jue Lu Street.
At the right time, a taxi came along Rainbow Road. The two vehicles collided at the intersection. The taxi was violently shaken by Audi, and Audi then crashed into the safety island in the road.
After the accident, the male taxi driver surnamed Liu (69 years old) injured his hand and was sent to United Hospital by ambulance for treatment.
It is understood that the male driver Audi surnamed Liu (27 years old) later reported that the accident was caused by running a light, and the police later found 5 grams of suspected marijuana flower drugs in his car. The male driver also failed to pass the drug effect observation. "Drug trafficking" and "suspected driving under the influence of drugs" were arrested and handed over to Wong Tai Sin District Criminal Investigation Team for follow-up.
