The Russian Ministry of Defense announced today that the Ukrainian military airports in the cities of Poltava and Dnepropetrovsk were targeted with high-precision missiles, two Ukrainian Mi-24 helicopters were shot down and 67 military installations and 24 drones were destroyed.

"The storage facilities for gasoline and fuel were destroyed at the Kremenchug refinery, where the Ukrainian forces in the central and eastern regions were supplied with the use of long-range precision weapons," the ministry's spokesman, Major General Igor Konashenkov, said in a press briefing.

Konashenkov noted that during the past night, Russian operational-tactical aviation and missile forces destroyed 24 Ukrainian helicopters in the country, 9 field guns and mortars, and 54 staging sites for combat equipment.

The spokesman explained that the units of the armed forces of the Donetsk People's Republic captured a large part of the Novobakhmoto region and are engaged in a battle with the retreating formations of the 25th Separate Landing Regiment of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, noting that 40 Nazis, a group of tanks and two mechanized infantry platoons were eliminated.

Konashenkov noted that since the start of the special military operation, 124 aircraft, 84 helicopters, 381 drones, 1,882 tanks and other armored vehicles, 203 rocket launchers, 786 field guns and mortars, as well as 1,764 special military vehicles of the Ukrainian Armed Forces have been shot down.
