Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto affirmed that his country is now working on a technical solution to the issue of paying for Russian gas in rubles, pointing out that energy supplies in Hungary were and will remain safe.
Russia Today website quoted Szijjarto as saying during a joint press conference with his Serbian counterpart: "Hungary will fulfill its obligation to pay Gazprom at the end of next May 2022."
Earlier, Slovak Prime Minister Eduard Heger had announced that he did not rule out that his country would be forced to buy natural gas from Russia in rubles, after President Vladimir Putin issued a decree in this regard.
