Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov has expressed his country's desire to end its special military operation in Ukraine to protect Donbass through negotiations, stressing that there is no truth to the news circulating about Russia's desire to occupy Ukraine.
Russia Today website quoted Peskov as saying that the statements of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky regarding the Russian military operation in Ukraine warrant the attention of many journalists, suggesting that these statements come under the influence of spirits or narcotics.
Peskov also expressed Russia's interest in Zelensky's acceptance of the conditions put forward by its negotiating delegation, indicating that his country's government does not want to assassinate President Zelensky.
