The government has not yet officially disbanded, but Silman's move is the beginning of the end • It still does not happen tomorrow

Two weeks ago, Netanyahu, Levin and Aryeh Deri convened for a political consultation.

They handed out tasks, each getting names of MKs from the coalition to put pressure on them.

Silman was among the names, but her surroundings were skeptical.

Then Nitzan Horowitz and the Chametz storm arrived and pushed Silman a little further, and so in recent days Smutrich has received a signal "there is something to talk about."

From there, the road to armor in the Likud and the position of minister (apparently health) was short, and along the way, Smutrich also promised a safety net to Silman.

The government has not yet officially disbanded, but Idit Silman's move is the beginning of the end.

It still does not happen tomorrow or the day after, but Silman stood at the top of the cliff and pushed the stone that is beginning to roll until the final dissolution of the current government.

Ways to dismantle the government include the possibility of a constructive no-confidence vote - the opposition is raising 61 fingers to overthrow the government and form an alternative government led by an agreed candidate.

Although this is a seemingly easy and immediate way, the Likud is not happy to do it because it will be difficult to find an agreed-upon candidate on the joint list on behalf of the Likud.

Livni Gantz does not want to give this gift, and in the meantime is missing one more defector who might come.

The Likud prefers to go to the polls.

Another way is to announce that the government is deciding to disband.

Even during the holiday, the government can raise a law to dissolve the Knesset.

This, too, has little chance.

So far, the coalition has struggled to function with 61 fingers.

Laws fell or did not pass.

Ultimatums such as those of Bnei Gantz and Ra'am have paralyzed the coalition. Now that the coalition is only 60 fingers, its functioning will be almost impossible. Israel is stuck and will not be able to function.

In the five weeks that the Knesset is on vacation, the government can survive.

After them it is probably impossible.

The election is no longer really on the horizon.

Were we wrong?

Fixed!
