MK Ra'am, Walid Taha, was interviewed by the Kol al-Arab website and noted that a meeting with Palestinian Authority Chairman Abu Mazen is possible soon.

"Dr. Mansour Abbas is in Jordan and was invited to an Iftar dinner at the palace," MK Walid Taha of Ra'am said today (Monday) in an interview with the Kol al-Arab website.

During the interview, Taha was asked whether Palestinian Authority Chairman Abu Mazen was satisfied with the government. In response, the Knesset member replied to the interviewer, "Ask him."

He went on to say that there is contact with the Palestinian Authority and with everyone, "without going into details."

In addition, he noted that there may soon be a meeting of the RAAM with the Palestinian Authority.

However, Taha did not specify when the meeting was to take place or whether Mansour Abbas would attend.

The past month has witnessed great tension between Jordan and Israel over the events on the Temple Mount.

King Abdullah himself conducted a round of talks in which responsibility for the riots in the al-Aqsa Mosque was blamed on Israel.

Following this, a committee of the Arab League convened in Jordan and issued a strong condemnation of Israel for what was defined as "harm to worshipers."

On Sunday, a tripartite summit of the Jordanian king was held with Abu Dhabi's heir, Muhammad bin Zayed and Egyptian President 'Abd al-Fatah al-Sisi in Cairo.
