Violence in Israel:

A young man in his 20s was stabbed during a brawl in a public park on HaMa'apilim Street in Ashdod.

MDA medics and paramedics provided medical treatment and evacuated the young man to Assuta Hospital in Ashdod when he was seriously injured and unstable with a penetrating injury.

The Israel Police Lachish District stated: "The Israel Police recently opened an investigation into the circumstances of the serious injury of a person in a public park on HaMa'apilim Street in Ashdod, which was evacuated by medical staff with stab wounds.

"Police investigators are at the scene of the incident and have begun to gather evidence, and at the same time a variety of actions are being carried out in an attempt to trace the identity of the suspect in the act."

Moshe Weizmann, a paramedic from the rescue union who first arrived at the scene, said: "According to passers-by, he was injured as a result of violence in the park. I provided him with first aid at the scene and then he was evacuated to Assuta Hospital in critical condition."

MDA medics Eli Raymond and Raziel Yusupovich, who arrived on the scene riding MDA motorcycles, said: "The wounded man was lying in the public park with a vague consciousness and suffering from a penetrating and bleeding injury. He was rushed to a hospital in critical condition and is in an unstable condition. "
