Two seriously injured after truck accident: A3 blocked for several hours

A serious rear-end collision occurs on the A3.
The lane from Frankfurt in the direction of Cologne is completely blocked for several hours near Wiesbaden.
Wiesbaden – A serious accident occurred on the A3 on Monday afternoon (April 25).
According to initial findings, two trucks collided, as reported by the KeutzTV portal.
According to the fire brigade portal Wiesbaden112 it should be a rear-end collision at the end of a traffic jam.
Due to the severity of the collision, the driver of the truck was trapped in the vehicle and the fire brigade had to free him from the wreckage.
A rescue helicopter took him to the hospital, as reported by fnp.de.

Accident on the A3 near Wiesbaden: lane closed for several hours in the direction of Cologne
With reference to the police, Wiesbaden 112 also reports that the passenger was able to be freed from the vehicle through the courageous use of first responders.
The driver of the other truck was not injured.
As the police station informed the editors on request, the full closure of the A3 in the direction of Cologne between Mönchhof-Dreieck and Wiesbadener Kreuz has been lifted since 6.45 p.m. after several hours of rescue and recovery work.
