Some of the battalions will be assigned to the Central Command, and some will replace units in the Northern and Southern Commands.
The IDF clarified that subject to the Chief of Staff's decision and in light of the operational need, some of the reserve battalions would be summoned by an exceptional order, with a notice of at least three weeks.
The decision to recruit the battalions was made after the IDF's regular battalions have been on high alert and reinforced forces in Judea and Samaria in recent weeks. The regular army cannot continue without significant damage to training and war training.
Recall that next month the IDF will hold a major exercise, "War Month," which will captivate many of the regular forces.

Thousands of police, border guards and volunteers will be stationed in the Old City, in the eastern neighborhoods and around the capital. From morning until afternoon, the arterial roads in the Old City will be closed to vehicular traffic.

Next week, Muslims will mark the three days of Eid al-Fitr.
