The head of the International Relations Committee in the Russian State Duma, Leonid Slutsky, confirmed that the West deliberately made Ukraine a springboard to pressure Moscow and launch its direct aggression from it.
According to RT, Slutsky wrote in a post on his Telegram channel, "Ukraine has been deliberately turned into a springboard for pressure and direct aggression against Russia. The West, as a whole, wanted to act as a proxy," noting that his country had no choice in resolving the situation in Ukraine. by peaceful means.
Slutsky added: The West has turned a blind eye to the Kyiv regime’s policy of suppressing Russian-speaking people and national minorities and practicing reprisals against them and the spread of neo-Nazi contagion, pointing out that Russia sought to implement the Minsk agreements for eight years while Kyiv was preparing for war, where the appetite of the Ukrainian elites grew to the point that Vladimir Zelensky started talking about nuclear weapons.
