In the archaeological hall of the Church of the Forty in Homs, today the most beautiful traditional songs and melodies were sounded by the traditional artistic band
Ornina Forum for Culture and Arts during the opening of the cultural and theatrical days organized by the forum for three days in the old city.
The musical evening, titled “Shajn,” came with the flavor of traditional songs that carried the fragrance of history and originality, and were mixed with the beauty of the archaeological place and its ancient history.
In a statement to SANA reporter, Archbishop Georgios Abu Zakhem, Metropolitan of Homs and its dependencies, indicated to the Greek Orthodox that the band worked hard to create a state of fun and joy and tried to create a wonderful mixture of unique and distinctive folklore tunes.

Raymond Kabrun, director of the Ornina Cultural Forum, stated that the evening's goal was to revitalize the folklore in a thoughtful manner through a group of songs, and it was necessary to pass it on to the new generation through various cultural events.
In turn, the band's leader, artist Nofal Darbouli, indicated that the Ornina band, which includes about 22 musicians and amateur singers, is working on a project to revive Syria's heritage and folklore so that the popular song reaches the new generation, in addition to addressing some of the flags of eastern music.

It is noteworthy that the festival will continue for two days.. Next Monday, it will feature theatrical Farhan Bulbul and a theatrical performance. On Tuesday, it will be devoted to a symposium on theatrical Saadallah Wannous, accompanied by a theatrical performance.
