Amnesty International asks Nayib Bukele to suspend the emergency regime in El Salvador

An Amnesty International report revealed that the emergency regime in El Salvador is an attack against human rights.

The measure, which was the government's response to the uptick in violence in March, has led to the capture of more than 36,000 people, according to authorities.

CNN has asked the government for comment but has not yet received a response.
