The corona incidence in Schleswig-Holstein was 445.6 on Friday.
This emerges from the information from the state registration office (as of 6:15 p.m.).
A week earlier, the number of new infections registered per 100,000 inhabitants was 335.6 within seven days.
For the federal territory, the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) gave the value on Friday at 261.3.
Kiel – Schleswig-Holstein continues to have by far the highest incidence among the federal states.
However, this value does not provide a complete picture of the infection situation.
Experts have been assuming for some time that there will be a large number of cases not recorded by the RKI - mainly because not all infected people have a PCR test done.
Only positive PCR tests count in the statistics.
In addition, late registrations or transmission problems can lead to a distortion of individual daily values.
1778 new cases were reported for Schleswig-Holstein on Friday, compared to 2494 on Friday last week.
According to the reporting office, 199 Covid patients were treated in the hospitals, 58 fewer than on Friday last week.
There were 14 corona patients in the intensive care unit, 9 fewer than on Friday;
8 of them were ventilated.
The total number of people who have died in connection with a corona infection since the beginning of the pandemic in the country is now 2548. According to the information, 686,600 people have recovered since then.
The number of new corona sufferers admitted to hospitals per 100,000 inhabitants within a week – the hospitalization incidence – was 2.75 on Friday.
On Friday last week the value was 3.06.
The districts of Rendsburg-Eckernföde (557.9) and Segeberg (517.6) reported the highest seven-day incidences.
The district of Dithmarschen recorded the lowest incidence with a value of 362.5.
