Two UN peacekeepers were killed by an explosive device explosion in central Mali.
"The explosion of an explosive device in the city of Douentza killed two soldiers and wounded two others," Olivier Salgado, spokesman for the UN mission, told AFP.
In turn, a security official confirmed that "the two soldiers were part of the Egyptian battalion operating within the framework of the United Nations mission, and two other soldiers were wounded."
Mali has been witnessing a state of instability since 2012 due to armed terrorist groups affiliated with the terrorist “Al-Qaeda” and “ISIS” terrorist organizations operating in the Triangle border area with Niger and Burkina Faso.
