The Karni Dance Theater Company, coming from Aleppo, Al-Shahba, was a guest of the audience of Dar Al-Assad for Culture and Arts, through an artistic evening dance performance, with which the audience sailed through the heritage of several countries that imitated their music, dances, costumes and folklore.
This evening, the Carney Troupe presented an artistic dance performance on the stage of the Opera House entitled “From the Dances of the Peoples” through fifteen paintings, whose choreography (kryograph) was designed by the duo Frij Terzian and Nanor Koromlian.
The Karni troupe, which used to present everything that is rich and varied, performed several distinct and different dances from the prevailing dances. The dances varied between Armenian, Eastern, Arab and Russian dances.
Spanish and Indian, in addition to Latin music, including Tango, Salsa and Jive.
The evening began with a dance from the Arab heritage, and the march went to the Armenian heritage with three successive dances that express Armenian folklore in all its forms, followed by dances from Spain, Argentina, and Russia, up to the last part of the ceremony, which did not stray from Armenian folklore.
It is noteworthy that the Karni Troupe was founded in Aleppo in 2013 by coaches Frij Terzian and Nanor Koromlian, which consists of twenty-five dancers and dancers and has participated in many Syrian and Arab festivals, plays and concerts, including the Aleppo Festival in 2018 and a dance show within the anniversary of the independence of Armenia in 2018, in addition to the Jerash Festival in Jordan and Babylon in Iraq and the summer festival in Tunisia and others.
