An 18-year-old unemployed youth was charged with attempting to mislead a police officer when he was stopped by the police in the machine shop last year for showing a false "Travel With Peace of Mind" visit record. The case was brought to the West Kowloon Magistrates' Court today (10th).
The defence demanded documents, so the case was adjourned until July 15 for retrial, during which time the youth was released on bail on the original conditions.
Defendant Xiao Shangxuan (18 years old, unemployed) was charged with providing false information on December 10, 2021 at "Smart Game" at Kwu Yau Street, Mong Kok, that is, a false visit record compiled by the false "Safe Travel" app. It seems that has complied with section 9AA(1) of Cap. 599F, but has not complied with the relevant ordinance in an attempt to mislead the police.
