The richest man in the world announced the cancellation of the purchase worth $ 44 billion • The reason for the U-turn: claimed that the social network giant is hiding the volume of fictitious accounts registered in it

Capital tycoon and richest man in the world, Elon Musk, announced tonight (light for Saturday) that he will not buy the social network giant Twitter, after he claimed that he did not receive satisfactory data from the company regarding the extent of the fictitious users registered in it.

The developer sent the company a letter informing them of the cancellation of the deal, with a total value of $ 44 billion, one of the largest deals in the history of the field, after two months in which he demanded clarifications from the company's staff regarding the issue of counterfeit accounts.

A company spokeswoman said: "Twitter's board is committed to closing the deal agreed with Mr Musk and plans to use legal means to force the continuation of the agreed merger process. We are convinced that there is an eternity in Delaware court."

Last month, Musk met with Twitter people to talk to them about the deal he allegedly intends to execute for the acquisition of the network.

He mentioned that he intends to change the network by subscribers and other things, but said that this is what worries him more about the issue of fictitious users (bots / imposters).

As you may recall, Musk froze the purchase until Twitter proved that the fictitious rate was 5%, and threatened to withdraw from it if proven otherwise (i.e., if it was proved that the number was much larger and Twitter had defrauded him and in fact not negotiated in good faith). From Twitter raw information and he is diligent about it.

Earlier in June, the owner of car giant Tesla and space company SpaceX stated that electric car maker workers should be present at least 40 hours a week.

"Anyone who wants to work remotely must be in the office for at least (and I mean a minimum) of 40 hours a week or leave Tesla. That's less than what we ask factory workers," Musk stressed in an email distributed to workers.
