and, above all, our deputies, whatever their political color, have always preferred to be lavish rather than impose savings.

The amendments to the two bills (purchasing power and amending finance law) which are coming before the parliamentary committee are the best illustration of this: everyone has their recipe for helping our fellow citizens, everywhere the same escalation in expenditure (more than 100 billion euros of cumulative amendments), and nowhere serious proposals for savings.

Coming from the Insoumis or the RN, who have shaved for free for a long time, this headlong rush is hardly surprising.

On the other hand, we could have expected a little more serious budget…
