The crash of a single-engine plane caused the death Tuesday evening of its 22-year-old pilot near Revel (Haute-Garonne), about sixty kilometers southeast of Toulouse, AFP learned from firefighters.
The emergency services - "
five machines and 20 firefighters
" - intervened shortly after 7:30 p.m., "
following the fall of a single-engine plane
", further indicated Sdis 31. The rescuers tried in vain to resuscitate the young man, who was in cardio-respiratory arrest upon arrival.
The firefighters also specified that the pilot's aviation club had "
confirmed that he was alone on board
".
The plane had taken off from Graulhet (Tarn), just over 40 kilometers north of Revel in order to pick up microlight pilots at an airfield near Revel.
