France: "Weeks" to Save Nuclear Agreement with Iran Israel today

2022-07-12T19:49:51.181Z

On the eve of US President Joe Biden's visit to the region, French Foreign Minister Catherine Colonna said in a conversation with lawmakers in Paris that the time to reach an agreement with the Islamic Republic was shrinking against the backdrop to the deadlock reached after months of negotiations.

"There is still a window of opportunity for Iran but time is running out and Tehran must understand that," Colonna explained tonight (Tuesday) while warning that if the regime continues on the current path, Iran will become a nuclear threshold state.

"The window of opportunity will close in a few weeks. There will be no better agreement than the one on the table," the new minister insisted.

As you may recall, the marathon talks leading up to a new nuclear deal were held over eight rounds in the Austrian capital but ended without results after 11 months of discussions.

The Iranian team is headed by Deputy Foreign Minister Ali Bakri Kani, while the other countries that have signed the original nuclear agreement are China, Russia, Germany, Britain and France, with the US participating in negotiations "indirectly", and Enrique Moreh leading the entire process. , Commissioner for Foreign Affairs of the European Union.

In Jerusalem, they will try to persuade Biden in the next day to withdraw from the agreement or at least insist on a number of conditions that will make it difficult for the regime to gallop towards the bomb.

Even in Saudi Arabia, Iran's main rival, they will follow closely and pressure the US administration to sever ties with Tehran.
