Art and culture: Theatrical summer lures people back to Irschenhausen

The company under the apple tree invites you to the theater summer again.

Among others, Marie-Josefin Melchior and Johann Zeller will be there with "Klangzeit".

From July 28th to August 7th, Barbara Reimold will open her garden in Irschenhausen again for art and culture.

She has put together an enticing program.

– Veronika, Lenz is here?

Yes, that too!

And in midsummer.

That's the title of the entertaining pop program by the artists Bettina Ullrich and Claudia Hrbatsch.

It will take place on Friday, July 29, as part of the "Society under the apple tree" series of events in Barbara Reimold's garden at Pfaffenleite 16 in Irschenhausen.

The wonderful hits of the 1920s and 1930s let the much-sung love shine in all its facets.

Not the only enthusiastic question of the evening will be: "Can love be a sin?"

Touching poems to start with

However, the trio Monika Drasch, Johannes Mayr and Alex Haas will kick off the 2022 theater summer with “Emerenz Meier – At Home in Chicago” on Thursday, July 28.

The trio allows insights into the letters of the “radical” writer from Passau who, by her own account, died in Chicago in 1928.

Her poems, which are always touching and make you sit up and take notice, are treated impressively in words, but also musically.

The concert by the big band “Bluestrings” promises to be creative, innovative and playful.

After the celebrated performance last year, the young string players, who are also successful in Italy, France and Spain, present a completely new program on Saturday, July 30th.

Jazz violinist Frank Wunderer is in charge.

"Magnificent lasts longest" on Sunday evening

Sunday morning, July 31, is reserved for children's theater.

Since guest "Ms. radish and the message in a bottle".

The play by and with Bettina Ullrich tells the story of Bergfriede Rettich, who found a message in a bottle and with which the children are invited on an adventurous journey.

Julia von Miller and Albrecht von Weech promise on Sunday evening that "Magnificent is always best."

They have been singing, dancing and entertaining together with the Odeon Dance Orchestra for a quarter of a century.

The public is invited, dressed in elegant attire and in excellent spirits, to join this festive, poetic and fun evening, hopefully deep into an enchanting night.

The charming duo will be accompanied musically by Dieter Holesch on the piano.

Groovy, lively and cheeky, the two thoroughbred musicians Marie-Josefin Melchior and Johann Zeller present themselves on Thursday, August 4th with "KlangZeit".

The duo delivers "world music fresh air" with an amazing range of concert world music.

“KlangZeit” entertains with fiery Hungarian czardas, classy tango and dreamy Valse musettes, among other things.

In addition to original compositions, works from Brahms to Piazzolla are served as a feast for the ears.

"Cold as Ice" is the name of the play that will be staged on Friday, August 5th.

Directed by Eilleen Schäfer, Alexandra Richter, Robin Kufner and Agathe Möller play Michele Lowe's black comedy about three couples who have a monthly dinner date.

As was to be expected, cracks soon appear under the harmonious façade.

Michele Lowe stages the abysses of three suburban marriages with polished dialogues.

Home game: Josef Brustmann from Icking and his friends organize an evening with crossover music.

The concert-like conclusion to the Theater Summer 2022 is provided by Josef Breastmann with “Brustmanns Lust” on Saturday, August 6th.

Together with Benni Schäfer, Luke Cyrus Goetze, Martin Regnat and Mathias Götz, Ickinger delivers an evening of rousing crossover music that literally comes out of the blue.

With the songs, which the solo cabaret artist put together and partly composed himself, the perfectly put together ensemble went on stage for the first time in 2019 in the Munich Lustspielhaus.

Musically, a wide arc spans from ballads to folk, rock'n'roll and Franz Schubert to trash polka.

A certainly brilliant concert under the apple tree - almost as a home game in the neighbor's garden.

The final Sunday, August 7th, once again offers great children's theater with "Glucks, the dragon slayer".

The clown theater is an encouragement piece for all children from the age of four.

In the evening, Ecco Meineke takes the audience on a cabaret trip around the world.

In the road movie "And we came out of the water" he is supposed to "save the (not sufficiently appreciated) water" on behalf of a water mermaid.

Performers include: glacier guides, dam planners, pipeline pimps, fishermen and polar bears.

Of course, Meineke alias "Ecco Di-Lorenzo" also lets it rip musically.

All evening events start at 8 p.m.

The two children's theaters take place at 11 a.m. each.
