AMLO shields the construction of the Mayan Train by declaring it a matter of national security

The president of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, said that the construction of the Mayan Train is considered a matter of national security and therefore the work will continue on the section parallel to the tourist area of ​​Playa del Carmen.

Those who oppose the project, the president called them corrupt.

Previously, a judge ordered that construction be stopped in that area due to the environmental damage that the work could cause.
