The commander of the Aerospace Force of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizadeh, announced that his country will launch a new satellite this year, noting that the launch will take place via a (Qaim) rocket carrying satellites.
Hajizadeh said in a statement today: "The (Qaim) satellite carrier will enter service and will carry our new satellites into Earth's orbit this year."
Hajizadeh pointed out that the locally produced satellite carrier (Qased) had, during the past year, put the Iranian satellite (Noor) into orbit, at a distance of 500 km from the earth.
