The Secretary-General of Hezbollah, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, announced that the resistance will determine how it will deal with the file of Lebanon's oil wealth in the Mediterranean, based on the results of negotiations on the maritime borders with occupied Palestine.
Nasrallah said in today's speech: "Lebanon has a historic opportunity in the oil and gas file, and there are two equal possibilities: to go to war or not, and in light of the results of the negotiations, we will determine how we will act in the future, knowing that we are in a better situation today."
Nasrallah added, "We are among the people and we know their suffering, and there is a historic opportunity to save the country and move it from the horizon to the horizon, and this matter needs to be risked, and we are ready to offer ourselves and our loved ones to protect our country and our people."
Nasrallah added, "Some link the gas and oil file in Lebanon with the Iranian nuclear file, and these are tools of the Americans, and therefore they believe that others are tools like them, while others say that the gas and oil file is for internal political gain."
The Secretary-General of Hezbollah stressed that all the resistance wants in this file is to help the Lebanese state and give it elements of strength in the negotiations on the maritime borders.
Sayyed Nasrallah said: "We are not a party to the negotiations, and we have not assigned anyone to do so. It is not our responsibility, and we will not interfere at all with the state's decision. Rather, we are an element of strength for the state's position, but in light of the results, we will determine how we will act in the next stage."
