For the twentieth day in a row, the city of Hasaka and the surrounding communities live without drinking water due to the continuous attacks by the Turkish occupier and its terrorist mercenaries on the electrical tension lines and water supply lines, and the theft of the electric current allocated to the Allouk water station, which exacerbates the water crisis, especially the potable ones, and threatens the future of about one million citizen.

In the context of the government’s efforts to alleviate the suffering of the citizens in Al-Hasakah, the measures are currently focused on securing drinking water for the people by the available means. The Director of Al-Hasakah Water, Engineer Mahmoud Al-Akla, told SANA reporter that the Directorate is currently working to secure drinking water for the people through desalination plants, where 13 stations have been installed. The service is distributed in the city center. Cooperation with international organizations and charities is also carried out to transport and fill the tanks installed by the branch of the Syrian Arab Red Crescent on a daily basis.

Al-Okla added that the water supply from Alouk station to Al-Hama station is very weak due to the continuation of violations within the lands occupied by the mercenaries of the Turkish occupation, in parallel with the continued efforts to enter the water workshops to remove the violations and view the water line, and so far the workshops have not been able to enter despite their readiness.

Al-Hasakah Water Director called for the intervention of all concerned authorities and parties to continue the work of the Allouk station, as it is the main source for about one million citizens in the city of Al-Hasakah and its affiliated areas and the population centers scattered along the danger of traction.

Abu Yousef, one of the citizens who suffers from a major crisis in securing drinking water, says that the problem of water cuts is repeated every year at the same time during this period, and the people of Al-Hasakah suffer a lot to secure drinking water and water for domestic use. For this great crisis that can not wait.

A number of people gathered at one of the tanks that were secured through government efforts said that what is happening to the city of Hasaka is a crime against humanity and all international organizations must move to solve this problem, as the people bear heavy financial burdens in exchange for buying water from tanks because the water provided by government agencies is allocated For drinking only.
