2022-08-25T21:08:23.770Z

The former presidential leader also explained that "he has been fighting for ecology for thirty years" by "knowing what to do in the face of climate change".

It was only a rumor, it has just been confirmed by the principal concerned.

On the sidelines of EELV's "Summer Days" of which he was the presidential standard-bearer, Yannick Jadot affirmed that he had been

"approached"

to return to government a few weeks after his dry defeat in the first round.

First for “

the first government

(appointed in mid-May)”.

Before being "

recalled by people who were trying to make the link

", he told BFMTV.

After the loss of the presidential majority in the legislative elections.

"

I have been fighting for thirty years.

I have beliefs.

I know what to do in the face of climate change, in the face of agricultural issues, drought, water, pollution issues.

And this government is not ready to do it

”, insists the former Greenpeace activist, who points to “

the ministers who are there

”.

According to the ecologist, members of the government "

barely know the subject

", "

are not even on the ground

" and "

stumble on ecology

".

Clearly,

"it is not up to the challenges we have."

As if to better accentuate his political and ideological difference with Emmanuel Macron, Yannick Jadot adds: "

The President of the Republic, at this stage, does not want to do ecology and therefore there is no place for ecologists

(in government, editor’s note).

For the former candidate for the Élysée, "

a minister convinced as he may be, alone it is useless (...).

if the President of the Republic and the government do not want to act.

“The opportunity to recall the entry of several EELV officials into the governments of François Hollande, including Cécile Duflot, Pascal Canfin and Emmanuelle Cosse.

"Radicality and efficiency are not measured by decibels"

Throughout the presidential campaign, Yannick Jadot has continued to criticize the policy of Emmanuel Macron in terms of ecology.

If an awareness has been made for a few years, the latter has not allowed environmentalists to surf for the presidential election on this movement which is gaining part of the youth.

If EELV is in the Nupes intergroup, the flower party does not intend to be carried away by the frontal opposition strategy of La France Insoumise.

“Radicality and efficiency are not measured in decibels.

I respect her, but the strategy of rebellious France is not ours

, pointed out the National Secretary of EELV Julien Bayou Thursday at

Parisian

.

The Nupes lives well but it is a coalition, it is neither an alignment nor a merger.

I will do my best to demonstrate that we can snatch victories for ecology in the institution”.
