LONDON - After the death of Queen Elizabeth II on Thursday, the new King of Great Britain, Charles III.

for the first time in a televised address to his people.

In his speech, he surprisingly addressed his son Harry and his wife Meghan with forgiving words.

So he uttered a loving sentence towards the couple, who had already distanced themselves from the royal family more than two years ago and built a new life in California.

In his speech to the nation on Friday, the new monarch was extremely forgiving towards his son and Meghan.

"I also want to express my love for Harry and Meghan as they continue to build lives overseas," King Charles said during his televised address.

During the speech at Buckingham Palace, he sat at a wooden desk on which a photo of the late Queen and a bouquet of white flowers were placed.

After the death of Queen Elizabeth II: King Charles III.

with forgiving words to Harry and Meghan

The new king did not go into more detail about the pair, so it remained a sentence.

However, the forgiving tone could give reason for hope that the family might be able to reconnect in the future.

After the death of Queen Elizabeth II, time will probably tell.

Harry, who happened to be in England at the time of death with his wife Meghan and not in their home country of America, unfortunately came too late to the Queen on Thursday, like his brother William.

Meanwhile, Meghan did not accompany her husband, but remained in London, probably to take care of the two children Archie (3) and Lilibet (1).
