The bus fire on the highway from Ciudad Victoria to Monterrey.
At least 20 people burned to death early this Saturday in a bus accident in Tamaulipas, a state in northeastern Mexico.
The event occurred on the highway from Ciudad Victoria to Monterrey, capital of the neighboring state of Nuevo León, when the bus full of passengers collided with a trailer that was transporting flammable chemical materials.
The authorities continue to identify the bodies and do not rule out an increase in the death toll.
Around three in the morning, the bus, from the Castañeda Tours company, has just left the municipality of Hidalgo, heading north.
At kilometer 67, still in the same municipality, the industrial trailer lost one of the two tanks, which collided with the passenger bus.
The crash caused the contents of the tank to spill, a chemical material called Varsol, which started to combust.
