Thrown out of the cab: tractor driver (36) had a fatal accident in Franconia

On Saturday there was a serious accident with a tractor combination in the Nuremberg region.
The 36-year-old driver lost his life.

The Central Franconia police are currently dealing with a fatal accident.
In Neuhaus ad Pegnitz (Nuremberg region), a 36-year-old got stuck with his tractor and trailer at a railway underpass on Saturday (October 8).
According to the police, the height of the trailer was apparently the reason.
Fatal accident in Franconia: Any help comes too late for tractor drivers
As a result of the accident, the tractor driver was thrown out of the cab and seriously injured.
For the 36-year-old who died in the accident, any help came too late, despite the resuscitation measures that had been initiated.
"He died at the scene of the accident," the police said early Saturday evening.
The vehicle itself then came to rest off the roadway in the Pegnitz riverbed.
By order of the public prosecutor's office, an accident expert is involved in these investigations.
He has already started his work at the scene of the accident.
The accident caused minor damage to the railway underpass itself.
After an assessment by Deutsche Bahn representatives, the railway line was reopened to train traffic a short time later.
