The Governor of Hasaka, Dr. Louay Sayoh, discussed during his meeting today with the country director of the World Food Program Kenneth Ray Crossley, and his accompanying delegation, ways to enhance joint cooperation in the aspects of bakeries, agriculture, electricity and food aid.
The Governor of Al-Hasakah indicated the importance of developing the existing cooperation, especially in the agricultural aspect, by increasing livelihood projects, including raising poultry, sheep and home gardens, in addition to supporting the bakery sector by increasing production lines, securing yeast, conducting maintenance for the Meridian neighborhood bakery, and securing some The necessary supplies for work, and to contribute to supporting the Swedish electricity generation facility, in light of its need for spare parts to maintain its reliability and continuity of operation.
The governor pointed to the need to increase the governorate’s share of food baskets, and pay attention to their quality, as a result of the increasing needs of citizens, the difficult living conditions, and the high costs in light of the unjust siege imposed by the forces of global tyranny led by the American occupier.
The country director stressed the importance of continuing joint coordination with the relief sub-committee, to identify the need of the people of Al-Hasakah Governorate, in light of the increasing need for aid, pointing out that work will be done to secure 50 tons of yeast during the coming period, and quantities of flour for public bakeries, and strive to provide the needs of Some service departments, as available.
