Idan Yaron, a boy with special needs from Kiryat Haim, celebrated his 17th birthday last Friday in an unusual way, when MDA teams took him horseback riding after the farm where he studied was closed. All this at the initiative of his mother.
As mentioned, about a month ago the MDA team came to the school to guide them and he was excited by the MDA activity and the training. When he returned home he told his mother about his enthusiasm for the MDA team that came to the school.

Liat Yaron, Idan's mother, tells Israel Hayom: "Idan is a special boy who always loved riding horses all the years since he was little. During the Corona period, the horse farm he used to go to for therapeutic riding as part of the school project was closed, and since then he has not continued riding horses." .
Liat adds: "I decided that I would surprise him with a ride in an ambulance for his birthday, and a good friend named Itai Mazur, who is a volunteer senior medic and also rides horses every week, joined us for the surprise. On Friday, medic Mazur came to us with another friend, who are on horses and in a decorated ambulance, Idan joined the ambulance team from Kiryat Haim to the horse farm in Bialik, where a surprise awaited him for his birthday - riding horses on the farm for a day dedicated to him."
Senior medic, Itai Mazur, told Israel Hayom: "It was a very great experience, both for Idan and for us too - sometimes the simple and small things produce the greatest happiness. A smile on his face in the ambulance and during the ride is worth everything. On behalf of all the volunteers of MDA who helped produce the celebration, I wish him a happy birthday."
The emotional Idan concluded: "It was a lot of fun, they surprised me and I was very excited. I want to say thank you to everyone."
