According to the police, officers from the Special Duty Team of Kwai Tsing Police District searched a unit in Kwai Fong Estate, Kwai Chung at about 10:20 a.m. yesterday (November 2), and seized a Electronic cigarette machines suspected of containing cannabidiol (CBD) e-liquid, and a batch of leaflets suspected of promoting duty-unpaid cigarettes.

Officers arrested a 14-year-old local boy in the unit.

Later on the same afternoon, officers searched an industrial building unit at Tsuk Luk Street, San Po Kong, Wong Tai Sin, and seized about 409 grams of suspected crack cocaine, about 238 grams of suspected cocaine powder, about 33 grams of suspected "ice" and a batch of suspected drug packaging tools .

In addition, officers seized a batch of leaflets suspected of promoting illegal gambling.

The total market value of the drugs seized during the operation was about $885,200.

After investigation, officers suspected that the batch of publicity leaflets would be distributed in Kwai Tsing District.

The 14-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of "possession of the first poison", "possession of instruments for unlawful use" and "trafficking of dangerous drugs" and is being detained for investigation.


According to the Dangerous Drugs Ordinance, Chapter 134 of the Laws of Hong Kong, "drug trafficking" is punishable by up to life imprisonment and a fine of $5 million upon conviction.
