After less than two months since its inception, this Wednesday the group stage of the 2022/2023 Champions League came to an end.
On the sixth and last day, which was played this Tuesday and Wednesday, the last four places available for the round of 16 of the most important club tournament in the world were defined.
This Tuesday, Eintracht Frankfurt qualified for the round of 16 after coming back and beating Sporting Lisbon 2-1 in a game played in Portugal;
and Tottenham slipped into the Champions League top 16 in the same way, with a comeback away against Marseille that ended 2-1.
Meanwhile, this Wednesday, Milan qualified for the round of 16 after beating Salzburg 4-0;
and Leipzig got the last ticket to the round of 16 after crushing Shakhtar Donetsk 4-0.

When and how will the Champions League round of 16 draw be?
The eight round of 16 clashes will be determined by a draw, which will take place on Monday 7 November at the House of European Football in Nyon, Switzerland.
Draw times:
6 a.m. ET
5 am (CDMX time)
8 a.m. (Buenos Aires time)
6 a.m. (Bogota time)
Process:
Two pots will be assembled: one with the 8 seeded teams and another with the 8 clubs that finished second in their group.
No team may face another from the same group or from the same country.
Based on these criteria, spheres will be drawn from each drum to define the crosses for the knockout stages of the Champions League.
The seeded clubs will be visitors in the first leg of the round of 16 and locals in the second leg.
