Comparing last week (November 7 to November 13) and the previous week (October 31 to November 6), the number of confirmed cases, deaths and other epidemic data, the epidemic situation was slightly worse last week, with 4,756 more cases in the whole week , rose 14% to 38,509 cases.

New variants of the virus are on the rise, with local XBB cases more than doubling.


Last week, 56 patients died, 34% less than the previous week; the 7-day average mortality rate also dropped from 0.25% to 0.15%.

However, the total number of new hospitalized patients rose by 20% last week, but the total number of new critically ill patients fell by 7%.


Imported cases increased by 8% on a weekly basis

There were 38,509 confirmed cases last week, an increase of 4,756 cases from 33,753 in the previous week and similar to the 38,34 cases in the previous week (October 24 to October 30).

The figures for other mutant viruses remain unchanged.

The total number of hospitalized patients last week ranged from 1,900 to over 2,000, with an average of 1,995, representing a weekly increase of 3%; and a total of 1,683 new hospitalized patients last week, representing a weekly increase of 20%.

The number of new critical and serious cases in a single day in the past two weeks was similar, mostly in single digits, and only occasionally reached 10.

As for the 7-day average of the number of newly hospitalized patients compared with the total number of hospitalized patients last week, it was 12.01%, a weekly increase of 1.68 percentage points.
