The decision to host the

Ocean Viking

and its 230 passengers in Toulon was determined and defended in the name of humanitarian principles.

It is, however, an infinitely dangerous choice, from the point of view of these same principles.

We could talk about the risk that would result for French society from an uncontrolled logic of reception, in a country that has already inherited a long irresponsibility in terms of migration policy, and a massive failure of integration.

But let's even disregard these questions;

the most serious thing is that this decision is absolutely contrary to the absolute imperative which nevertheless justifies it, that of saving lives.
