With a group of Syrian traditional songs and ancient Alepcan Qudud, the artistic and cultural evening held by the Directorate of Damascus Culture opened this evening in cooperation with the “Creators for the Homeland” Foundation, on the occasion of the Ministry of Culture’s celebration of the Syrian Culture Days, entitled “Heritage and Creativity”, at the stage of the Arab Cultural Center in Kafr Souseh.
The evening included a group of traditional and popular songs by the “Takht Sharqi” band led by Maestro Kamal Skaiker, the Shams Heritage Band coming from As-Suwayda Governorate under the supervision of Hani Judiyyah, and the Miral Folklore Band under the supervision of Muhammad Traboulsi. A group of poets also participated, namely Jamal Al-Masry, Osama Hammoud, Ghadeer Ismail and Radwan Qassem. Abu Fakhr's stump is a collection of patriotic, social and romantic poems that carried an emotional character.
The evening shed light on the ancient Syrian civilization, the rich diversity of the Syrian society and its high culture, and the support of creativity and creative youth, to develop their artistic energies, according to what was explained by the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the “Creators for the Nation” Foundation, Dr. Bahjat Akroush, in a statement to SANA, pointing to the importance of culture in building societies and enlightening a generation. Young people are aware of the importance of art and ancient cultural culture at a time when electronic devices have dominated the minds of young people.
One of the aspects of art and intellectual culture that extends since the ages of poetry and sentimental poems that paint the images of societies and their civilizational reflections and their national and societal affiliations, which were evidently embodied in a group of social and national poems presented today by a group of poets at the end of the diverse artistic evening, in which the poet Gamal Al-Masry demonstrated the importance of revitalizing cultural events Constructive and capable of developing the aesthetic thought of the younger generation and presenting creative artistic models to be future role models in raising artistic and cultural taste, and restoring the heritage images of the ancient Syrian civilization in hymns and songs with young young voices.
