Could the French army of 2022 face a war as intense as the one facing Ukraine?

- The war in Ukraine has posed this question on a daily basis lately, and it involves planning for the future.

In this case, if France found itself in the situation of Ukraine, what response would it bring to a threat or an invasion, according to its capabilities?

We are the second operational army in the world, and the first in Europe.

And despite our qualities, we would be unable to hold out over time, and to face the harshness of the war as we see it in Ukraine.

We have lost this capacity because of past choices, in this case the reduction in our workforce, as evidenced by the 20% drop from 2007 to 2015. We started to increase the Defense budget in 2017 with 1.7 billion euros per year, and nearly 3 billion…
