14°C in class, broken windows... In Aulnay-sous-Bois, a dilapidated high school outrages the elected officials of Île-de-France

A report by RMC highlighted the deplorable conditions in which the 2,400 students of the Voillaume high school study. The subject was immediately taken up by opponents of Valérie Pécresse at the regional council.


The images made the rounds in the press and on social networks.

A report by RMC published this morning showed the scandalous conditions in which the pupils of the Voillaume high school in Aulnay-sous-Bois (93) are immersed: broken windows in the classrooms, faulty heating, buildings where cuts of electricity follow one another... and students in down jackets, who teach in a room at 14°C.

In this establishment of 2,400 students, both teachers and students unanimously describe an “

unworthy

” climate and testify to their reluctance to come to class.

One building in particular, in this high school which has six main ones in addition to a boarding school, attracts attention: building A, which is part of a section of buildings deemed "dilapidated" and whose renovation work

is

planned for 2028. It is in this part of the establishment that most of the damage is concentrated, and the state of disrepair in which the classrooms are is the subject…
