About 4,000 farmers in 17 regions benefited from the seed and fertilizer grant distributed by the Syrian Arab Red Crescent branch in Daraa.
The head of the Red Crescent branch, Dr. Ahmad al-Masalmeh, said in a statement to SANA reporter today that the grant is being provided to farmers in Daraa for the fifth year in a row, at the rate of 200 kilograms of wheat and 150 kilograms of fertilizer per share, indicating that the aim of the grant is to contribute to increasing the income of farmers and supporting their livelihoods.
He added: The grant, which targeted farmers in the areas of Giza, Al-Musayfra, Umm Walad, Al-Karak Al-Sharqi, Maaraba, Al-Sahwa, Samad, Bosra Al-Sham, Al-Sanamayn, Nawa, Al-Nasiriyah, Jassem, Inkhil, Al-Hara, Deir Al-Adas, Kafr Shams and Daraa Al-Balad, was provided with the support of the International Committee of the Red Cross and in coordination with the Directorate of Agriculture.
