The officers of the Northern Police District yesterday (Friday) seized two pistols, an M16 rifle, ammunition and other weapons that were disposed of in the yard of an apartment building in the city of Tamra.

According to Corporal Khaled Shanan from the Tamra station, the resident of the city identified a suspicious bag near her residential building. Later, police forces accompanied by a saboteur went to the area and found a suspicious bag, and they closed the scene. During the treatment by the police saboteur, two pistols, an M16 rifle, dozens of Bullets, cartridges and night vision devices.

"Homes of normal people whom the police do not suspect. The criminals choose to slip weapons around neutral people who will not raise suspicion."

Recently the police managed to locate weapons of criminals who chose to hide weapons in different places.
Among other things, a weapon was found that was disposed of in the yard of a kindergarten in Kabul, which led to the arrest of a 17-year-old boy, as well as weapons that were disposed of in a purification room in a mosque in Deboriyeh.
Since the beginning of 2022, more than 1,000 weapons have been seized in the northern district.
