While the alarms rang out across Ukraine and Russian missiles killed another civilian and wounded 11, a New Year's greeting from Vladimir Putin was broadcast in the Russian Far East, where 2023 has already begun.
Ironically, more than she attracted attention with her content, a woman who was photographed not far from the president caught the viewers' eyes.
In contrast to his greetings in previous years to be photographed against the background of Red Square and the Kremlin, this time the Russian president appeared against the background of soldiers and female soldiers - although in the independent media in Russian and in the Ukrainian media they expressed doubt whether indeed all the people photographed are military personnel, or at least some of them are his security guards.

Doubts were raised when the website Sibreal.org and the head of the CIT intelligence collection and analysis group, Ruslan Leviev, spotted a blonde-haired woman standing next to Putin.
The same woman in military uniform allegedly appeared in a 2016 video as a fisherman, when Putin was photographed with fishermen at a lake in the Novgorod region.
Then, on Christmas Day 2017, she was photographed standing next to him in church.
Whereas in 2017 and 2019 the same lady allegedly appeared as a seller, from whom Putin bought ice creams.

The doubts were also indirectly strengthened by the fact that Putin has so far avoided visiting the war front in Ukraine, as well as dubious photographs from the last few months, regarding which it was doubted whether Putin was photographed with guests - or was implanted using software.
In the New Year's greeting itself, Putin was heard describing 2022 as a year of "difficult but necessary decisions", which distinguished "between heroism and treachery and kindness".
Putin called the "special military operation" "fatal" and claimed that moral justice is on Moscow's side.
Reminder: Russia's illegal invasion of Ukraine took place with the aim of "cleansing it of the Nazis", as they pretended in Moscow, and with the argument of protecting the population in the Donbas territories.
At least 6,850 civilians were killed by the indiscriminate Russian bombings, millions became refugees.
