The alleged perpetrator, spotted by neighbors, fled in the direction of the cathedral of La Major.
He was pursued by several witnesses, who chased him until the intervention of several police officers.
The latter did not have time to arrest him: the suspect, armed with a knife, turned the weapon against him and slit his throat.
