Stole the crown: Prince Harry's book broke an all-time record Israel today

2023-01-10T19:37:23.939Z

The unruly duke, who is aggressively promoting the book on a variety of platforms, has been quarreling with almost everyone in his family in recent days through accusations about the treatment he and his wife, Duchess Meghan, received while being part of the "firm" • But it seems that the scandal actually helped: the book has so far achieved Fastest selling rate for a non-fiction book

Prince Harry's new book "Spare", in which he refutes his claims of harassment and discrimination by the royal family and the British media, officially began to be sold today (Tuesday), and has already set an all-time record.

As you may remember, the promotion of the book in recent days was accompanied by a series of interviews of the prince in which he spoke out against his brother William and claimed that he had beaten him alongside other accusations against the future king and claims that the royal family is a "cult".

And now it seems that, at least in terms of buzz, the marketing move paid off and earned him the title of the fastest selling non-fiction book ever.

Harry, who also reveals intimate details of his military service and private life in the book - including the fact that he killed 25 Taliban fighters - managed to divide Britain and the world by breaking the agreed royal code of not airing dirty laundry.

Among other things, he spoke harshly against King Charles and his wife Camilla, even though he himself is in the line of succession to the crown (but without a realistic chance of receiving it, hence the name of the book).

"We always knew this book would be successful but it has beaten even our rosiest predictions," said the publisher, Penguin Random House.

They said that as far as they know, only the Harry Potter fiction series books achieved a faster pace (but as mentioned, the current book is not in the fiction genre and therefore achieved a record on its own).

According to the official estimate published by the publisher, at least 400,000 copies have been sold so far on a variety of platforms: printed books, books for e-readers such as Kindle, and audio books.

As you may remember, the big rift between the parties began about three years ago when the Dukes announced "starting on a new path" in North America and actually stopped being active royals (but kept the titles).

In recent years, they have been interviewed and accused the royal family of serious accusations, including racism, and mainly directed their anger at the British media, which they claim did not accept the duchess because of her race.
