At 33 and six months pregnant, Anjila Hamidi escaped from Afghanistan.
It was April 2022, already eight months after the Taliban took power, forcing tens of thousands of people to flee, including women and collaborators from foreign countries.
She and her husband, prosecutors, were blacklisted by the new regime.
The couple sold all their valuables and crossed the Iranian border in their vehicle.
They couldn't turn back.
